About Mickey Fong & Blue Edge Journeys
After more than a decade as an adventure guide, Mickey Fong (Diné/Navajo) founded Blue Edge Journeys, a Native-owned tour company based in Santa Fe, New Mexico—on the traditional Tewa lands of Ogapoge (White Shell Water Place).
Raised as an Urban Indian in Albuquerque, Mickey has always carried a strong connection to her Navajo roots and to Santa Fe, a place she now calls home. Her tours offer a Native-centered perspective that blends lived experience, cultural memory, and storytelling—offering insight into Indigenous life that goes far beyond what’s written in history books.
Mickey’s unique approach to guiding has been featured on the PBS travel series Travels With Darley and recognized by Backroads for her powerful narratives at Bandelier National Monument. Through Blue Edge Journeys, she invites visitors to see Santa Fe through Native eyes—layered with complexity, humor, history, and heart.

Without song there is no dance
Without dance there is no rain
Without rain there is no corn”
