A Journey on the Edge

I am a product of New Mexico’s complex history. Born in Albuquerque, I grew up as an "urban Indian" - a living result of the Americanization of Native peoples. But for the last 40 years, Santa Fe has been my home, my playground, and my community. My life’s work has been the active, daily practice of reinforcing my Native ancestry within a modern world.

This personal reclamation is the heartbeat of Blue Edge Journeys.

The name is rooted in my Diné heritage, specifically my clan, the Tábąąhá (Edge of Water) clan. To me, the "Edge" is a sacred boundary; it is the cusp of the unknown where depth and wisdom meet. I started this business because, after four decades in this city, I saw a gap. Visitors fall in love with "Santa Fe Style" facades without ever feeling the pulse of the community within.

I don’t offer "brochure tours" or sanitized scripts. I provide a narrative built on 40 years of lived experience. One that honors our history of resistance and celebrates our modern vibrancy. When you walk with me, you aren't just sightseeing; you are stepping onto a path that balances ancestral roots with a place that is always changing.

Join me on the edge of the known, and discover the "unvarnished" truth of the high desert.

Without dance there is no rain

Without rain there is no corn”
